My mom and step-dad traveled the country in their 5th wheel, so I felt right at home reading this story about Betsy and Ben's journeys. Felt like I was traveling with them, in fact! The story is filled with humorous and tender moments and I adore the cover! So cute. This book might've been written for people in their golden years but I highly recommend it for people of all ages. I loved the book! As soon as I started reading it I couldn't put it down!
The way it was written made me feel like I was one of the "Early Birds" and awaiting for the next adventure!
My husband and I are thinking about getting on the road except on a motorcycle and travel around this beautiful country!
Your first book? Hard to believe because of the way it draws you in right from the beginning it was so much fun as well as having a bit of humor that actually made me laugh out loud a few times, the romance and the tears that I shed!! Well done Janetta! Again I say it great book! A book for all ages too. Happy for you and this journey you and Ray are sharing together!
Wonderful portrayal of retirees and their life in an RV. These characters are real and there is a touch of humor. They have dogs that have personality as well. I loved the inspirational thread as well. I look forward to reading more books from this author.
I enjoyed this story but I did feel a bit confused. I felt that the story could have given more information about the martial conflict and how it was resolved. It was hinted at but the story left out crucial details. I would be interested in more stories from this author.
As an early retiree, this book could have been written about us. It made me feel so good that we are not the only people who said "Lets Just Do it" God will walk us through the details. Putting Life ahead of careers is a hard thing to do. But, as you read this book you may also say "Lets Just do it". No regrets. Great Job Janetta !
I thought this book would describe interesting locations that they visited and it did not. It was more of a story about changing themselves for the better and helping other people. I did not think it was funny, although it might be in a movie. I think that the book is longer than it needed to be for the author to get her point across. If you are looking for a book that describes interesting places to visit this is not the book for you. This is a book showing that prayer can solve problems.
Janetta Fudge-Messmer's debut novel was a delight to read! I loved the humor she added to each chapter that really helped to develop the characters. This is a book about giving up the daily grind in exchange for the open road, but...there's so much more going on behind the scenes! The best part of this book is the Christian thread and the author's love of God that runs through every chapter. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes good fun Christian humor.
